Under Heaven's Eyes: The Systemic and Systematic Unjustified Killings of Black Lives explores the killing of George Floyd and asking if his death marks a turning point for real change or another false dawn? The piece will also explore both systemic and systematic societal racism and how it squeezes’ Black and minority ethnic communities to the margins. Michael is Black, 42 years old and works as an Accountant. He lives in Leyton London with his wife and two children. But ever since he witnessed the killing of George Floyd, Michael hasn’t been able to get it out of his mind throwing his life into freefall.
PULSE-THOUGHT-SPIRIT THEATRE COMPANY
Formerly known as 'Resistance Theatre Company', PTS Theatre Company has recently changed it name to better reflect the wide spectrum of the inspirational work they do. PTS is led by Artistic Director Christopher Tajah.
Christopher was born in London, UK and his parents are Jamaican. He has worked as an actor for all of his adult life and I loves living there. "The people are great and it's a great place to be in the arts," says Tajah. "London is a great place to mix, collaborate and be who you are and express yourself!" He has written poetry and comedy since a small child. He's always written as a hobby. Tajah continues, "I love acting and writing with a passion. I have starved and struggled all my life but I am contented and happy because I'm doing the only thing in life that I can really do quite well." In 2018 he wrote Dream of a King a solo play about Martin Luther King Jr. He started Resistance Theatre Company Ltd and toured 'Dream of a King' in 2019 across the UK including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He received an OFFIE Nomination (an OFFIE is a UK Fringe Theatre award) for hs portrayal of Dr King
